My son will be 3 in a month.
He is all boy....trucks, guns, Spiderman, cowboys, etc., etc.
(Of course, with 2 older sisters, there is the occasional baby doll, princess crown, and sparkly necklace thrown in for good measure.)
He and his little buddy play superhero constantly. I have to tie their sleeping blankeys around their necks, so they can fly around the house and conquer the world. It is very charming. :-)

The only problem is.....the sleeping blankey/cape creations do not hold up to the rough play of almost-three-year-old boys. So I came up with the genius idea of making a superhero cape for their birthdays, which are 2 weeks apart. Won't that be fun, running around, defeating bad guys with your best buddy by your side and your initial engraved on your back?
The only drawback is:
I DON'T SEW.
But I am plucky and resourceful and determined and a tiny bit creative....so I am hoping I can figure something out. I found this cape and this one on some other fabulous blogs, and I think I can make them work for me. :-)
I mean, if someone with fantastic sewing skills and a portable sewing machine wants to come over and keep me company, I am good with that.......but I am hoping I will succeed and have two happy superheros in a few weeks.
Maybe I will even make one for myself. Couldn't hurt my cause, could it?
